Hometown History My "Buildings in Time" Project
Here is some interesting facts about the first people who lived or worked here:
(Example: Names, the number of people, how they used the building)

 

 

I also learned that the people lived in different ways than I do today. Some of the differences are:
(Example: No electricity, many people sleeping in one room, no bathrooms, no heat)

 

 

Some buildings in America are made of adobe (sundried earth and straw), some of wood, some of brick. The building I chose was made of:

 

 

By learning about an old building, whether it was someone's farm house or someone's wharehouse, we can learn a lot about history. Some of the things I learned were:
(Example: Fire was important for heat as well as for cooking, architectural style changes when new products are available, families had lots of children sleeping in the same room)
