In eight cities across the country fans celebrated basketball history like never before during The History Channel Hardwood Classic Nights.
WASHINGTON WIZARDS


March 4th at 7pm vs. Golden State Warriors
Despite their 103-90 loss against the Golden State Warriors, the Wizards celebrated the 80s with Wes Unseld bobblehead giveaways, 80s cover bands, and announcers dressed in retro-themed outfits. At halftime the great Alexander O'Neal performed and legend Bobby Dandridge was honored with a lifetime achievement award.
LA LAKERS
March 4th at 7:30pm vs. Dallas Mavericks
The 1960s was all around! Both The Lakers and The Lakers Girls showed off their 60s uniforms during this Hardwood Classic Night presented by The History Channel. The legendary coach Bill Sharman was honored at halftime and the Lakers went on to defeat the Mavericks 108-103.
NEW YORK KNICKS
March 6th at 7:30pm vs. Golden State Warriors
The Knicks flashed back to the 70s as they flashed past their opponent in their 115-99 win over the Golden State Warriors on March 6th. Knicks legends Earl "The Pearl" Monroe and John Starks were on hand to help honor team photographer Gary Kalinsky, who was honored with a lifetime achievement award during The History Channel Hardwood Classics halftime presentation.
CLEVELAND CAVALIERS
March 8th at 7pm vs. Orlando Magic
Miracle at Richfield legends Campy Russell, Austin Carr, Bobby "Bingo" Smith, Nate Thurmond, Dick Snyder, Foots Walker, Luke Witte, John Lambert and Bill Fitch were on hand with The History Channel to commemorate "Miracle Night". Players wore throw back jerseys and fans wore gold to celebrate the Cavaliers of the 1970s as the Cavaliers of 2005 defeated the Orlando Magic 111-92.
PHILADELPHIA 76ers
March 8th at 7pm vs. Golden State Warriors
The 1950s was the theme as the 76ers took on the warriors in their retro uniforms. Each fan in attendance received a statue of Wilt Chamberlain, who was first drafted by the Philadelphia Warriors in 1959. Billy King and Sonny Hill were there to honor legend Dolph Schayes and the Syracuse Nationals at The History Channel Hardwood Classics halftime presentation.
DETROIT PISTONS
March 9th at 7:30pm vs. Golden State Warriors
The 70s were all around as the Pistons defeated the Warriors 92-88. There were Motown costumes, props, dance routines, and legend John Long was honored during a special presentation by The History Channel.
DALLAS MAVERICKS
March 10th at 7pm vs. LA Lakers
The History Channel and the Mavericks celebrated the 80s in style with performances by Tone-Loc and honored Rolando Blackman, Brad Davis, James Donaldson, Derek Harper during The History Channel Hardwood Classics halftime presentation. Despite the celebration and an exciting match up the Mavericks went on to lose 100-95.
DENVER NUGGETS
March 22nd at 7pm vs. Washington Wizards
The Nuggets players and dancers were in their 70s garb as the Nuggets pulled off a crushing victory over the Wizards 127-98. Nuggets legends Lafayette "Fat" Lever, Calvin Natt, Roland "Fatty" Taylor, Julian Hammond and Chuck Williams were honored in The History Channel Hardwood Classics halftime presentation.
