As the second phase of the "City of the" Future challenge, IBM and The History Channel, in partnership with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), are challenging engineering college students in the New York, Chicago and Los Angeles areas to propose innovative engineering solutions for our cities of the future.

 

The students will examine their region’s winning City of the Future design and propose engineering systems that can support the city’s water, energy or transportation needs. The teams will need to be creative in their approach, original in thought and innovative in their solutions. One winning team in each region will receive $5000 and IBM ThinkPads will be donated to their university.
