The Death of Tecumseh
Shawnee leader Tecumseh led the efforts to reverse land-sale treaties between Native American tribes and the U.S government. In the War of 1812, he and a confederacy of Indians fought on the side of the British. In 1813, Tecumseh was killed at the Battle of the Thames.
