Arc de Triomphe
Commissioned by Napoleon in 1806 to honor those who died during the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars, the Arc de Triomphe stands in the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle, at the western end of the famous Champs-Elysees. Visitors may ascend to the top to enjoy views of Paris.
