Conciergerie
The seat of French kings from the 10th to 14th centuries, the Conciergerie was later converted into a dungeon. It was here that Marie Antoinette and other prisoners awaited the guillotine during the French Revolution. Located on the Ile de la Cite, the Conciergerie is part of the Palais de Justice.
