Red Square
GUM
The State Universal Store, or GUM, was built between 1890 and 1893. It was the epitome of pre-revolutionary luxury, boasting more than 1,200 stores. After the 1917 revolutions, it was nationalized and used as a state-run department store, but has once again become a high-end shopping destination.
