Cave of Forgotten DreamsFrance s Chauvet Cave is the home of uncharacteristically large and spectacular cave paintings that are a true capsule of prehistoric civilization and is almost always locked. Until now... The cave is an untouched shrine to pre-history. The soft, clay-like floor retains the paw prints of pre-historic cave bears along with large, rounded, depressions that are believed to be the "nests" where the bears slept. Historically off-limits to visitors and cameras, exclusive access has been granted to one of the world s greatest filmmakers--Werner Herzog. Within a limited shoot window beginning in mid-February through March of 2010, Herzog will capture the hidden depths of this cave in this dynamic feature documentary. Hundreds of animal paintings have been catalogued in the cave, depicting at least 13 different species, including some never before seen in other ice age paintings.

Hitler's FamilyNazi propaganda portrayed Adolf Hitler as a man minus family or private life. As a matter of fact, he kept in touch with his family--mainly to control them. There was shady half-brother Alois, a Berlin innkeeper who tried to profit from his name, and half-sister Angela, in charge of housekeeping at the Berghof retreat, who had neighbors chased away. His niece Geli, who called her uncle a "jailer", committed suicide. His "favorite nephew" was educated at an elite Nazi school. His sister Paula wanted to marry a surgeon and mass murderer. And his English-born nephew William Patrick, a playboy in Berlin, extorted money by threatening to expose family secrets. We present previously unknown documents and personal records and descendants of the Hitler family talk about living in the shadow of a dictator.

WW2 From SpaceThis spectacular two-hour special delivers the tipping points of World War II as you ve never seen them before. Flying through space and time from above, we ll see these monumental moments in their global context, bringing new information to the forefront and explaining how a nation ranked 19th in the world s militaries in 1939, emerged six years later as the planet s only atomic superpower. Our view from above means we can re-interpret WWII; placing key events in perspective, flying around the world to show the importance of simultaneity, revealing the hidden ripple effects of crucial incidents, and re-creating ground-breaking moments that could never have been captured on camera.
