Pick and Tell: Kid Pickers National Student Contest
Each week, millions of viewers tune in to watch American Pickers. HISTORY and Kid Pickers have teamed up for an exciting contest. We invite students ages 7-13 to search for and tell us about the pieces of memorabilia, collectibles, and unique items in your own communities. What historical items have you picked?
Submit an essay for the chance to win a scholarship and a trip to meet Mike Wolfe at his Antique Archeology store in Nashville, TN!
Contest
Submit short essays (500 words or less) about a unique or interesting historical item you have picked. These items can be collectibles, antiques, photographs or any other item of historical or sentimental value. Photographs and videos can be submitted to support the contest entry.
| April 15th | Contest Starts. Get pickin’ and turn in submissions. |
| May 17th | Contest Ends. Entries must be postmarked no later than May 17th. |
| Summer or Fall 2013 | Awards Presentation, trip to Nashville (date TBD) |
