As Ax Men enters its third season, it's the dead heat of summer and the stakes are higher than ever. From mountaintop to river's bottom, six crews will take on one of America's deadliest jobs. In the rugged mountains of the Pacific Northwest, logging titan J.M. Browning, reigning champion Rygaard and underdog Pihl Logging battle for the title "King of the Mountain." But this year, they're only half the story--S&S Aqua Logging heads to Florida in search of new beginnings; Conner Aviation races to find a new ace pilot; and for the first time, Ax Men heads to the swamps of Louisiana to meet a man unlike any other, Shelby Stanga. Across America, it's a battle for survival and for some, this will be the end of the line.

For more than 100 years, larger than life characters--many of whom are members of logging families whose ancestors helped settle the West--have spent their days among towering trees and powerful machines and their nights in outposts far from the comforts of civilization. Ax Men tells their remarkable stories, detailing the history of the logging industry and how technology has transformed life for today's logger, even as they struggle in the ultimate battle of man vs. nature.
