If Mark Muller is the quintessential risk-taking showman, then general manager Larry Van Zandt is his complete opposite. He is hyper-organized and extremely conservative with the company’s finances. His OCD-like tendencies, balance out his boss’s love for spontaneity and recklessness. Larry is a former military police officer who spent three years in Berlin at Checkpoint Charlie and was there when the Berlin Wall came down. Upon returning to Kansas City, he did a brief stint as a corrections officer before getting into the car game and has been working with Mark Muller off and on for 20 years.
