Great Lake Warriors
Meet the Captains and Crews
Captain Ted Long
The son of a tugboat captain, captain Ted Long started working on boats when he was 14. His colleagues at Calumet River Fleeting call him "Captain Nice" for his no-nonsense demeanor and penchant for shouting commands, corrections and criticisms.
Captain Ted's Crew:
Aaron Phillips-Donovan is one of the only guys to actually get along with "Captain Nice" on a daily basis, which makes him the captain's right-hand man.
Jeff Baysinger, known as "Smed" to the crew, has spent a lifetime on the lakes. He currently spends most of his time in the engine room and works hard as a "deckineer."
Eddie Carnes has 15 years of experience on the river barges but has spent almost no time in the rough, open waters of Lake Michigan. He must prove he has what it takes to roll with the Great Lakes tug men.
