Bing Crosby records Ol' Man River

The hit song "Ol' Man River," from the musical Showboat, is recorded by Paul Whiteman and his orchestra, with Bing Crosby singing the lead. Crosby left Whiteman's band the following year and went on to become the best-selling recording artist of his day. He scored some 300 hits and sold some 400 million records by 1975.
