Hometown: Ponoka, CAN
A B-pressure welder by trade, Robert Edwards was raised in small town in Central Alberta, Canada. Growing up, Robert learned the art of hunting, fishing and trapping—a skill that oftentimes was his family’s means of putting food on the dinner table. His father taught him at an early age how to live off the land, which was a tradition that he hoped Robert would pass down to his future generations. Robert took that tradition of sharing knowledge a step further in 2014 by establishing the Alberta Primitive Skills Society—A non-profit aimed at teaching wilderness skills, from primitive survival and tools to hunting and trapping.
Robert’s been married for twenty-three years and has four children, all of whom love the outdoors and share his passion for sharing wilderness skills.
