There are many days throughout the year that have historical significance, such as July 4th or September 11th. Have you ever thought about the historical significance of December 9th? It was on this day in 1992 when the United States stormed Mogadishu, Somalia. Harry Gold, a scientist convicted of treason, and Lynda Bird Johnson, the daughter of President Johnson, also share December 9th as a historical moment. It was on December 9th in 1950 and 1967, respectively, that he was sentenced and she was married in a White House Ceremony.
