Even today ranchers and hikers report a monster they can’t explain that may be attacking their horses. MonsterQuest will sift through the evidence and determine what may be killing the elk. The aerial search ascends to 11,000 ft in search of fresh evidence that could lead to the creature; as the ground team scales the side of Pikes Peak to hunt for the legendary Snowbeast.

Sharks have terrified people for centuries and deep within the forbidding waters of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula may lurk a mammoth sixty foot monster. Could it be a new giant species or some living relic, hidden in the sea? In prehistoric times, huge carnivorous sharks, more than twice the size of a great white, ruled the waves. Marine experts claim these giants went extinct, but evidence may challenge that. These gelatinous monsters, which have been known to kill within three minutes, have been part of the ocean’s ecosystem for more than 500 million years. However, changes to the seas and global warming may mean that mankind himself is creating this population explosion. Blooms of these floating death traps have been reported from New York’s Hudson River to the beaches of Spain and have even shut down a nuclear power station in Japan. If there is one place on earth that could be home to a prehistoric flying monster, it is Papua New Guinea. Millions of years ago prehistoric cousins to today’s crocodiles stalked the earth, ate dinosaurs and grew to enormous sizes. Known as “Super Crocs”, these massive beasts were apex predators that grew to lengths of up to 40 feet and could weigh as much as eight tons. Today, record-size crocs max out at just over 20 feet, but witnesses are saying crocodiles are getting much bigger. In the jungles of central Africa there may be a living relic of a dinosaur that stalks the rivers and frightens the local inhabitants. The feared creature, known as Mok l Mb mb , or “the one who stops the flow of rivers,” is said to closely resemble the enormous long necked and four legged saurpod – a dinosaur that science claims went extinct 65 million years ago. However, for more than two hundred years, explorers, missionaries and natives have reported sightings of a strikingly similar monster. Tracks found by a recent American expedition may yet be proof of this elusive monster.
