Riley Harris

Hometown: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan

Ice Road Runs: Saskatchewan & Manitoba

Riley grew up admiring his dad, a man with a natural ability to be successful at anything he puts his hardworking hands to. Known as “Mini Shaun” Riley shares his father’s drive, sharp tongue, and skillset but wants to forge his own path to get out from his father’s shadow. Shaun’s mantra, “To be the legend, you have to beat the legend,” fuels Riley to push himself to his limits to make his dad proud. Where they come apart is his dad’s approach to quick fixes, whereas Riley prefers to do things right the first time, not put a band-aid on an issue. It’s common to catch them in a fiery clash in a public setting but at the end of the day, Shaun always has the last word. Riley believes he has earned his seat at the table and hates being considered a nepo baby. Riley sees a future where he’s respected and in charge, but the only way his employees view him in that light is if his father retires and signs the company over. He’s already paving his own path by acquiring more trucks, seeking out new roads, and has a list of his trucker friends he’s ready to hire. This winter season, Riley has convinced his dad to expand their operation into Manitoba for the first time. A move that could payoff greatly for the company or cost them everything.
