This Day In History: 03/23/1839 - OK Enters Vernacular

Patrick Henry says this popular quote, "Give me liberty or give me death" at the Virginia Convention on March 23rd. Along with that event, President Ronald Reagan called for a space based defense system, which many called Star Wars after the popular movie series. Lee Teng-Hui became the first democratically elected president of Taiwan on March 23, and The Boston Morning Post included the phrase OK, when it first became mainstream in our vocabulary.
