Dave Booth was born in Dededo, Guam and has enjoyed the backcountry from an early age Coming from generations of outdoorsmen and his 23 years as a professional fishing guide he has what it takes to answer the call of this Arctic challenge. His 28 years in education as a teacher and school principal molded him to be a life long learner and possesses unique problem-solving skills.

Dave’s wife, Shannon, and his four sons, Wade, Chase, Lane, and Colton, will be at home pulling for him. Each of his sons has grown up hunting, fishing and trapping and has followed the Booth tradition of life in the wilderness.

Dave is the youngest of three children. His older brother, Bill, and his older sister, Honnen, also continue the Booth outdoor tradition. His father, Jim, remains a living legacy of inspiration to the outdoor life that Dave enjoys. Dave long history of love for hunting, trapping and fishing make him uniquely skilled. His mental toughness has helped him prepare to take on this challenge wholeheartedly. Adventure, fun, challenge, and humor will help him confront the unique problems this Arctic landscape provides.
